Covid-19
A statement from Liberty Produce
We are seriously considering all the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the immediate term, our actions are seeking to mitigate the immediate impact of the virus on our staff, customers, partners and families. As a company in the AgTech sector, we are also seeking to understand the broader implications of this pandemic in relation to the environment and food security.
At Liberty Produce, we have been consistent in our belief that we urgently need to change the way we grow, consume and eat if we are to protect our planet and ourselves and create a sustainable food chain. Now more than ever, we have an obligation to lead the charge in changing the way we think about our food, from what we are/should be eating and its production through to the way we consume it.
With this in mind, we are prioritising products that can have an immediate impact on improving food systems and access to fresh local produce. We are also disseminating content to share our knowledge with consumers as well as growers in understanding the food supply crisis and the breadth of potential solutions. (Follow us on social media or sign up to our newsletter to stay informed.)
We also wish to reassure our customers that Liberty Produce is taking the outbreak of Coronavirus extremely seriously. We are focused on maintaining the safety and well-being of staff, customers, partners and families during this global pandemic. We are fortunate to have offices and staff across the world and are, therefore, already adept at working with one another remotely. This means that we are able to protect our staff whilst ensuring business continuity in these challenging times.
Our internal measures are being reviewed daily, taking into account guidance from relevant Governments and the World Health Organisation (WHO). We are a small but global company so we are also ensuring that our internal guidelines are reflective of the local guidelines wherever members of the team are based. We are, of course, available to our customers through all the usual channels (email, phone, video conferencing etc.).
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any assistance.
