Press Release: Liberty Produce and Partners announced as CHAP Category B Partner
Liberty Produce, a UK-based farming and technology company with expertise indoor vertical farming systems, has been announced as a Crop Health and Protection (CHAP) Category B Partner. CHAP, a UK Agri-Tech centre for innovation, will partner with Liberty Produce to accelerate the development of the UK vertical farming sector.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in the development of integrated technologies which will benefit the UK agricultural market. This is illustrated by the upcoming CHAP and Liberty Produce joint commercial demonstrator system, the Innovation Hub for Controlled-Environment Agriculture (IHCEA), due to launch at the James Hutton Institute in Dundee this year. This system, designed specifically for research and development, will enable industry to understand and tackle the barriers to adoption of new vertical farming technologies.
